We are a leader in the discovery and development of small molecule Hsp90 inhibitors. Hsp90 is an important chaperone protein that regulates the folding and degradation of client proteins that play key roles in oncology, inflammatory diseases, fungal infection resistance, viruses and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Serenex has ongoing pre-clinical programs in all of these areas.

Serenex has a unique approach to drug discovery. Unlike traditional discovery approaches which screen numerous compounds against one specific drug target, we start with a library of drug-like compounds and screen them, in high throughput, against thousands of important therapeutic and toxicity targets simultaneously. We then advance only the compounds which selectively inhibit a target of interest. This approach is exquisitely simple and yet rapidly generates high quality hits, often against targets that are impossible or difficult to screen against.
